Jo Etta Lanham Mabry, age 90, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Smith Manor in Lucedale, Mississippi.

Jo Etta was born to the late Edmund Joseph Davis and Carrie Lane Davis on March 19, 1928. The Davis' raised their family in the Basin Community, along the River Road of George County, MS. Jo Etta was the eldest of three children. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy DeWitt Lanham, Sr. and James Clinton Mabry. Also preceding her was her beloved sister, Annette Brooks.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter Sharon Lanham of Moss Point, her son Roy "DeWitt" Lanham, Jr. of Pascagoula, MS, and her brother Carl Davis (Mary Ruth), of Lucedale.

In March 1946, Jo Etta moved to Pascagoula. She worked at a local drug store. While working there, she met Roy Lanham, whom she married in 1948.
Jo Etta worked at a local drug store, doctors' offices and insurance agencies. These jobs gave her the opportunities to meet many people. This gave her great joy.

Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Interment will conclude services at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Margaret Lackey @ MS Baptist Convention, PO Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205-0530.
