Daphne Zavros, 94 of Pascagoula, MS passed away at her home on Friday, January 29, 2010. Born October 25, 1915 to the late Alec and Toula Markris in Wisconsin, she had been a longtime resident of Pascagoula. She was the owner and operator of the Oasis Restaurant and Lounge in Pascagoula for many years before retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Zavros was preceded in death by her husband Harry Zavros, a son Alex Zavros, three brothers Jack Markris, Mike Markris, Chris Markris; one sister Mary.
Among her survivors her only daughter Catherine Zavros Eubanks and her husband Thomas of Pascagoula, MS and two grandchildren Mary and John Ramsower.
Graveside Service will be Monday, February 1, 2010 at 3pm at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, AL. Those unable to attend may register at www.obryantokeefe.com. Arrangements are under the direction of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
