John Francis “Jack” McAndrew, 72, passed away at his home in Pascagoula Feb. 19, 2010. He was born April 4, 1937, in Dunellen, NJ.
Mr. McAndrew was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Snider McAndrew; a daughter, Lisa McAndrew; and his parents, John Francis McAndrew and Helen Zupko McAndrew Frey.
Survivors are his sons Michael Edward McAndrew of New Orleans, LA, John Francis McAndrew of Sacramento, CA, and Robert Joseph (Denise) McAndrew of Vacaville, CA; three sisters, Dolores (Steve) Yanko of Manville, NJ, Eileen (Joe) Best of New Forge, PA, and Joan (Warren) Smalley of South Plainfield, NJ.; and two granddaughters, Amanda McAndrew of Vacaville, CA., and Kristina McAndrew of Eureka, CA.
Retired from Litton Data Systems, Mr. McAndrew was a member of Pascagoula Country Club and a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he had served as president of the Parish Council during construction of the present church. He was a volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy.
Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Church Friday, Feb. 26, from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Kelleher as celebrant. Interment will follow at Jackson County Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jerry Storey of Gulfport, Elliott Mestayer of Pascagoula, Jack Snider of Sarasota, FL, Joseph Marino, Joe Cooper, and Doyle Cooper, all of New Orleans.
