Clinton Tony Almond
February 11, 1934 - February 24, 2010

Mr. Clinton Tony Almond age 76 of Moss Point died Wednesday February 24, 2010 in a local hospital. Born February 11, 1934 in Moss Point to the late John J. and Agnes LeJune Almond, he had been a resident of Jackson County all of his life. Mr. Almond worked as a rigger for many years at Ingall’s Shipyard before retiring in 1996. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gautier, MS.
He was preceded in death by three sisters JoAnn Burns, Dorothy Hantz, Sue Faggard; two sons Jeffery White, Kenneth Almond; and a granddaughter McKenzie White.
Among his survivors are his beloved wife of 18 years Linda Almond of Big Point; three sons Clinton R. Almond of Gautier, MS, Mitchell M. Almond of Gautier, MS, Michael A. White of Big Point; two sisters Barbara Bell and her husband Kenneth of Lucedale, MS, Janell Hendrick and her husband Charles of Big Point, MS, five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday February 27, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Charles Nutter serving as Celebrant. The family will receive friends Friday evening February 26, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park following the mass.
