Gary Taylor, age 47, of Moss Point passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 on Ship Island. He was born July 17, 1962 in Pascagoula, MS and has been a lifelong resident. Gary attended Our Lady of Victories Catholic Schools until his senior year. Due to his love for wanting to play football, he attended and graduated in 1980 from Live Oak High School. After graduation, Gary started working for Chicago Bridge & Iron for 16 years and was involved in building remarkable Water Towers in a number of states. Gary was currently employed with Glen Crane and Rigging for eight years and was well known for his knowledge of expertise in the business. He had a Charter and Captains License. Gary’s passion in life was fishing, cranes, and spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Faye Taylor; paternal grandparents, Murdock and Josephine Taylor; special uncles, Willie Joe Jackson and Ronald Joseph Taylor; his fiancé’s father, Coach Butch Ory.
He is survived by his loving father, Murdock “Butch” Taylor, Moss Point, MS; his fiancé’ and love of his life, Sheila Bullock, Moss Point; her children that he adored, Crysta, Candice, and Brandon Bullock, Haley Davis, of Moss Point; special cousins, Jason Hines and his sons, Jay and Cameron Hines, of Pascagoula; many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, 1:00-3:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to his favorite charity, Juvenile Diabetes Association or Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.
