Deborah "Debbie" Louise Ugas
October 7, 1955 - February 27, 2013
Deborah "Debbie" Louise Ugas was granted her angel wings on February 27th 2013 surrounded by family and friends. Debbie was born October 7th 1955 in Washington, DC. She traveled the world as a child of an Air Force family, graduating from Wagner High School at Clarke Air Base, Philippines. Debbie attended college in Wichita Falls, TX after returning stateside from the Philippians. In 2000 she re-enrolled in college where she earned the honor of induction into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society with her 4.0 GPA. Debbie was married to her best friend Cecil for 22 years, together they shared many moments creating lasting memories. Debbie was a devoted mother to her two children Dawn and Donald. She valued education, was active coaching, served as Cub Master, and was selected at Parent of the Year. Debbie enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and furry loved ones. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, and collecting angels. She loved to watch the Saints play football and NASCAR races, especially Tony Stewart. Debbie was a past member of the Mardi Gras Krewe of Tricities, where she was crowned a Dutchess. Debbie was a devote Christian and member of Christ Lutheran Church, Always strong in her faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother Edwina “Lou” Bowie; father, Philip Noble Davis; three brothers; Philip Davis, Harry S. Madagame Jr. and Stephen Madagame, and a sister, Susan Davis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Cecil H. Ugas, Pascagoula; daughter, Dawn Bordelon, Grand Bay, AL; son, Donald Ugas, Seabrook, TX; three step children, Ricky Ugas, Connie Jean Ugas, and Tina Ugas, all of Houma, LA; four sisters Mary Mobeck and her husband Thomas of Chaska, MN, Debbie Ann Mills of Sierra Vista, AZ, Darrah and her husband Ken Moll of Jacksonville, FL, Kathie and her husband Mike Garrish of Derry, NH, a brother Dr. Jimmy Madagame of Traverse City, MI; two grandchildren, Audrey Ugas and Payton Knowles and numerous step grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2013, 9:00-11:00am, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, MS. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Yonkers officiating. You may send your condolences to her family at www.obryantokeefe.com
