Allan Paul Dunagan passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Pascagoula, MS surrounded by family.
Allan was born on October 26, 1931 to Kirby and Pearlie Dunagan. Even as a youth he showed qualities of grit and determination, also known as stubborn. At the age of 14 wanting to serve his country, he joined the military and of course when his true age was discovered, he was promptly sent home. He was a life-long contractor and carpenter who enjoyed making dreams become reality. He was selfless, gentle, a strong believer and man of faith. As a young man and until his final breath, his concern was his family. He showed them by example how to live and how to die. This family giant will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dunagan; siblings, Bertram and Burlen Dunagan.
He is survived by two children Brenda Joan Denton of Lucedale and Michael F. White and his wife Gwen of Gautier; siblings, Willie “Doc” Dunagan ( Bobbie Joe)and Emily Dunagan Hemphill; grandchildren, Tara Misnick (Andrew) and Shannon Pearson (David); great-grandchildren Maddison Montgomery (Jonah), Evan and Ansley Pearson and one great-great-grandchild, Mary Ellen Montgomery.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:30 pm, with visitation, one hour prior. Interment will conclude at Serene Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com
