Carol Couey Koffel

Carol Couey Koffel of Gautier, Mississippi passed from this life on October 9, 2018, surrounded by family.

Born in Mobile, Alabama on July 28, 1944 to William and Maxine Gipson Couey, Carol spent most of her life in Pascagoula, MS. She was a 1963 graduate if Pascagoula High School and a dedicated city of Pascagoula employee for more than 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, baking and crafting, but her favorite thing to do was to spend all the time she could with her loved ones.

Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Kenneth Koffel and her two daughters, Donna and husband Gregg Phelps of Lynchburg, VA. and Theresa and husband Chris Copeland of New Orleans, LA, beloved granddaughter Caroline Phelps; brother-in law, Johnathon Redfield and his wife Aundrea, their children, Peyton, Chloe, and Benjamin of Medway, Massachusetts; sister, Marie Singleton of Pascagoula; brother Charles Couey and his wife Harty of Moss Point and their daughters Laura and Amy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John William "Bill" Couey Jr "Bill" and several aunts and uncles with whom she shared special bonds.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

Funeral Services will be Monday October 15, 2018 at Gautier O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior. Interment will conclude at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
