Geraldine Howard

Geraldine “Gerri” Collum Howard passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at the age of 85.

Gerri was born in Tomnolan, MS to William and Bessie Collum on August 18, 1933.  Mrs. Howard spent most of her adult life in the Starkville area before migrating south.  She was an intelligent, beautiful lady with a touch of tenacity. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and shopping.  Gerri was a hairdresser for over 50 years and she took pride in using her talents to make others beautiful. Whether you knew her as mother, Mimi, Bebe or friend you knew that she loved and cared deeply for you.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Collum.

She is survived by her three children, Bill Howard (Denise ) of Starkville, Marsha Heath DiBona (David)of Gautier, MS and Gary Howard (Leeann) of Escatawpa, MS; half-siblings, Jim “Sonny” Collum (Nina) of Ruston, LA and Carla Ryan of Ocean Springs, MS.; five grandchildren, Amanda Eekhof ( Marc), Jennifer DeCastro (Kennard), Dylan Howard, Kolby Howard, and Presley Howard; great grandchildren, Marleigh and Marissa Eekhof.
