Joyce Krebs Calhoun

Joyce Josephine Krebs Calhoun, passed away at her home on Sunday,  October 21, 2018 at the age of 90. Joyce was born on July 23, 1928 in Jackson Co, MS.   Joyce was a Salutatorian for the OLV Class of 1946.  She was a homemaker, wife and mother.   She also served as a volunteer at Singing River Hospital for 37 years, the American Red Cross, and a member of Zonta International for 27 years.  She was of the Catholic faith and had a true heart for helping others.  

She was preceded in death her parents,  Joseph V. Krebs Sr. and Ruth F. Krebs;   her husband, Jack Calhoun; siblings, Mae McGrath, Ruth Cooney, Joseph V. Krebs Jr., Bobby Krebs, and Steve F. Krebs.

She is survived by 3 children, Jacklyn Holden, (Ken)  and Cynthia Daigneault and  Chris C. Calhoun; brother, Billy Ray Krebs;  grandchildren,  Brianna Holden, Blake Holden and Ridge Jackson and many dear friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm.  Funeral Service will Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com. Serving as pallbearers will be  Ridge Jackson, Blake Holden, Hyler Krebs, Steven Krebs, Larry Richardson, and Ronnie Crocker. Honorary Pallbearers  are Judge Robert Krebs, Sheriff Mike Ezell, David Lowery and Eddie Hall representing SRH, Dudly Nix representing Elks, John Wilkinson representing Auxillary, and Judy Williamson representing Zonta.
