Paul Hilton Mizell, age 67, of Pascagoula passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. He was born on July 10, 1952 in Pascagoula and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1970. He played Baseball from the young age of Pascagoula city league until Pascagoula High School as a left-handed star pitcher. Paul attended Perkinston Junior College and proudly served in National Guard for 8 years. He was a former employee of Morton Thiokol for 25 years. In 2004, he started his employment in Sheet Metal until 2018 when he retired. Paul enjoyed hunting, New Orleans Saints Football, Atlanta Braves, and especially watching Price Is Right with his daughter, Rachel. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for his family, friends, and his country. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Mizell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cynthia Cole Mizell; daughter and best buddy, Rachel Lynn Mizell; mother, Louise Mizell; sister, Teri Mizell, all of Pascagoula; aunts, Sandra Prew (Darryl), Chiefland, FL; Doris Spicer, Pascagoula; two brothers-in-law, James “Bubby” Cole, Grand Bay and Shane Cole, Pascagoula.
There will be a time of gathering for family and friends at Paul’s mother’s home on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, from 4:00-6:00pm at 310 John Avenue, Pascagoula, MS 39567.
