Sandra Lyons

Mrs. Sandra Eileen (McAdams) Lyons, was born October 2, 1945 to the late Hugh Doyle and Aileen Clifton McAdams in Pascagoula, Mississippi and passed away on December 22, 2019 in Mobile, AL.

Sandra was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula, Mississippi where she taught kindergarten for many years. Sandra was a graduate of Pascagoula High School and a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was the co-owner of Punkin’ Patch Kindergarten and Childcare Center. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend and made the world a better place by being in it. Her kindness and generosity to all who met her will not be forgotten.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, John Jefferson Lyons III and son-in-law, Jeffrey Abbot Haskin.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John J. Lyons Jr. She was the beloved mother of son, David Scott Lyons and his wife Jackie of Lucedale, MS; daughter, Aimee Denise Haskin and dear family friend, Robert Lee Carter of Sacramento , California and son, John Brentwood Lyons and his wife Kristy of Cape Coral , Florida; Loving Nana to Jason (J.J.) Scott (Yuli) Kowalski, Jr of Vacaville, California, Mason Scott (Leah) Lyons od Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jonathan Brent Lyons of Cape Coral , Florida, Jenna Leigh Lyons of Lucedale, Mississippi and Brody Hudson Lyons of Cape Coral , Florida. She is also survived by siblings, Mike McAdams and his wife Pat, Mahlon McAdams and his wife Lisa, John McAdams and his wife Sheila, Evie Jo Nagorka and husband Steve, and Lisa Melton. Extended survivors include, niece, Michelle Davis her husband Donnie and children  Michael, Alden and Gavin’ niece, Tommie Larsen and her husband Grant; nephew, Ian McAdams and his wife Allyson and their daughter, Ann Clayton; nephew, Derek (Whitney) McAdams and  their children, Isaac, Emily, Wyatt, Merritt and Stella; nephew, Aaron Dustin McAdams (Chelsea) and son, A.J.; niece, Jessica Bowman (Wes)and children, Logan and Lachlan ; nephews Samuel Nagorka and Justin Melton.

Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Machpelah Cemetery at 11:00 am with Associate Pastor Sam Jones officiating.
