Vard Moorman Obituary

Vard Moorman Jr passed away Monday August 5, 2019 in Gulfport, MS.

Mr Moorman was born October 21, 1935 in Booneville, MS to Vard and Lucille Moorman.  Vard served in the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.   He worked hard all his life, mechanic, construction worker, truck driver, heavy machine operator, what ever came his way he put his hands to it to provide for his family.  He enjoyed nature whether fishing with the grands or sitting on the porch with a cool drink, he took the time to savor the simple things of life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Sue Moorman and daughter, Leasia Riddle.

He is survived by a son, Mitchell Moorman (Debbie) of Moss Point; three grandchildren ; Chris Davis (Amber), Corey Moorman (Alana) and Leslie; siblings, Hap Moorman (Doris), Billy Moorman (Virginia), Toby Moorman (Trish), Max Moorman, Jimmy Moorman, Ralph Moorman (Susan), Tanna Bowlin, and Dottie Temple (Dale) ; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Presleigh, Emma , Hadley Sue and D.W.

Visitation will be Thursday at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00 pm with Graveside Service to follow at Orange Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be espressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
