Anthony Sigalas Obituary

Anthony "Tony" B. Sigalas, 72, of Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away on June 30, 2023. He was born on September 8, 1950, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to the late Evelyn Illa Smith Sigalas and Emanuel Peter Sigalas. Tony was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Tony was a man of strong character and unwavering devotion to his family. He held a special place in his heart for his adored granddaughters, Sophia and Stella. Throughout the years, he delighted in sharing laughter and creating joyful memories with his loved ones. Tony's family was his greatest source of pride and he embraced his role as a loving patriarch.

In his professional life, Tony served as a QA Inspector at Northrop Grumman. His commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail made him a valued member of the team. Tony took great pride in his work and made significant contributions to the company.

Outside of his career, Tony found solace in his hobbies. He had a deep appreciation for the natural world and enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his beloved dogs. These pursuits allowed him to express his creativity and connect with the beauty of the outdoors.

Tony was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home located at 4811 Telephone Rd, Pascagoula, MS 39567. A memorial service will follow at 6pm, allowing friends and family to gather and pay their respects with Pastor Kelvin Bolden officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter in Tony's memory. Tony had a deep love and compassion for animals, and supporting this cause would honor his caring nature.

Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Pitts Sigalas; his daughters, Ana Sigalas (Allyn Stavanau) and Keli Sigalas O'Neal (Jared); his granddaughters, Sophia and Stella; his sister, Annette Sigalas Nunez; his brother, Donald Sigalas (Sharon); his sisters-in-law, Susan Pittman Langston (Jimmie) and Jynda Pittman Broome (Marlon); his brothers-in-law, Dennis Pitts (Nancy) and Steve Pittman (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gregg Sigalas, and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Pitts (Linda), Gerald Pittman (Hazel), and Johnny Doyle Pittman (Ada).

During this time of mourning, may the memory of Tony's warm presence and infectious laughter bring comfort and strength to all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished in our hearts. 

The family would like to express gratitude to We Care Hospice and all of the staff who took such wonderful care of Tony.
