Barbara Ann Barlow

Barbara Ann Whatley Barlow passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Ocean Springs, MS at the age of 69.

Barbara was born, the baby of the family, to George and Ruby Mae Whatley on April 24, 1954 in Pascagoula, MS. She graduated from Pascagoula High School in the Class of 1972. She furthered her education becoming a nurse and working at Singing River Hospital for 36 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Family Life Church in Escatawpa, MS. Barbara was the epitome of grace and kindness. A caregiver by nature, always preferring to put others before herself. Our lives are shattered with her loss but she left us with many wonderful memories that we will remember and cherish. This beautiful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry L Barlow of Gautier, MS: children, Brian (Robin) Barlow of Loxley, AL, Michelle (Wayne) Goldman of Jackson, AL, Matthew (Anna Grace) Barlow of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Tristan Dungan, Brodie Dungan, Emily (Taylor) Perez, Britney and Brantley Barlow; great-grandchild, Emilia Perez.; siblings, Jane Mitchell (Grant) of Caldonia, MS and Gene Whatley of Gautier, MS; nieces, Angela (Cary) Arwood, Amy (Rick) Frazier, and Andrea (David) Knight; and various great nieces, nephews and church family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Family Life Church in Escatawpa, MS from 1-2pm with funeral service to follow at 2pm with Rev. Archie Holley and Rev. Grant Mitchell officiating. Interment will conclude services at Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa, MS. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
