God called our beloved mother, Barbara Ruth Martin Keebler to her heavenly home on Friday, December 13, 2024.
She was born March 11, 1935 at the old Place in Gautier, MS to James Ernest Martin and Martha Olive Wilkerson Martin. Mom was raised in the Martin Bluff Community and she also raised her family there. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Martin Bluff Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and worked in VBS. She enjoyed reading, reading her bible through each year. She was a prayerful woman who always prayed for her family and church. Her desire was to be remembered for her love of God. We honor her and know it was her prayers and consistent walk with God that has carried us throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry R. Keebler, Parents James and Olive Martin; sisters, Matel Street, Juanita Bilbo, Eris Roberts, Vera Douglas, Mona Wallack, and Carmen Martin; brothers, Curtis, Infant Garland, Lowell, Donald and Jack Martin.
She is survived by her children, Richard E. Keebler of Lucedale, MS, Tabitha (Chris) Petefish of Vancleave, MS and Garland (Kiley) Keebler of Vancleave; grandchildren, Jillian (Mark) Rauch, Trevor Petefish, Preston Comans, Belle, Memphis and Mason-Kate Keebler; a sister-in-law, Mary Martin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Martin Family Cemetery in the Martin Bluff Community at 11:00am.
