Barbara Murchison

Barbara Bockmaier Murchison, age 80, formerly of Gautier and resident of Richton, MS passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 1, 2019.  She was born January 7, 1939 in Pavaria, Germany and met her husband when he was stationed in Germany.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gautier and resident of Gautier for over 35 years until 2016 when she moved to Richton to be near her only daughter that she adored.  Barbara loved gardening, fishing & crabbing, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James Murchison.  Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Siegfried Bauml, Richton, MS; one brother and two sisters, George Bockmaier, Resi Born, and Marlene Reithmeir, all of Germany; two grandchildren, Michael Bauml (Lesley), Richton; Melissa Bauml, Richton, MS; three great grandchildren, Grant, Greyson, and Emersyn Bauml.

Graveside Service will be Sunday, June 2, 2019, 3:00pm, at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Richton, MS 66675.  www.woundedwarrriorproject.org.
