Bettie was born on September 22, 1935 in Hattiesburg, MS to Austin and Faye Clement. She grew up in Hattiesburg with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She later met and married the love of her life, Charles Grantham and they settled in Pascagoula, MS. Bettie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Pascagoula, MS. She taught Sunday School and was a part of many groups and organizations at the church. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fred Grantham; her parents, Faye and Austin Clement; brothers, Austin, Gene, and Bob Clement; and sister, Mary Turcotte.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Daughdrill (Don) of Pascagoula, MS; son, Charles Fred Grantham, Jr. (Chuck) of Pascagoula, MS; granddaughter, Marie Roblin (Matt) of Hurley, MS; grandson, Jonathon Daughdrill (Ashton) of Pascagoula, MS; great grandchildren, Mollie and Maggie Roblin and Jax and Charlee Kate Daughdrill. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Clement, sister, Faye Whitworth, numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, 11:00-12:00 at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 officiated by her pastor, Jeff Floyd and longtime family friend and Pastor, Dennis Ray Smith. Burial will be at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, MS immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Daughdrill, Matt Roblin, Marcus Roblin, David Turcotte, Steven Turcotte, and Tom Puckett.
We would like to thank the staff of Singing River Hospital, Hospice of Light, Plaza Community Living Center, and many special friends for their help and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Pascagoula.
