Billy Ray Boling

Billy Ray Boling, age 76, of Pascagoula passed way on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born on November 7, 1947 in Biloxi and grew up in the Biloxi area.  

Billy was an US Army Veteran and proudly service our country.  He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after over 40 years as a Shipfitter where he worked in the Fab shop.  He enjoyed his years working there and was well known for his great sense of humor and ability to make others laugh and feel special.  Billy had a distinct laugh and never met a stranger.  His personality was full of energy and he enjoyed picking, clowning, and aggravating others so that everyone involved would have an enjoyable time together.   If you met him once, then you were a forever friend with his jolly abilities to make friends.

He married Annette Brooks Boling on November 3, 1973 and they celebrated 50 year of marriage last year.  

Billy was formerly employed with a Cab company in Biloxi and was currently an Uber Driver in the Biloxi area.  He spent a lot of his time riding over to Biloxi to visiting the casinos and being near the area he enjoyed during his younger years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, S.P. Lee and Betsy Lee; sister, Juanita Weens; father-in-law, Esley Brooks, mother-in-law, Myrtle Imagene Brooks; nephew, Gary Brooks.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Annette Brooks Boling, Pascagoula; brother-in-law, Clifford Brooks, Escatawpa; nephews, Ronnie Brooks (Pamela); David Brooks (Belinda); niece, Karen Brooks (James Overstreet); Devoted friend to both Billy and Annette, Bonnie Bradley and Janie Gomez.

Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2024, 12:00-2:00pm at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.  Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Eubanks officiating.  Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brooks, David Brooks, Lee Brooks, Keith Reynolds, Greg Jarrell, and James Overstreet.
