Brenda Susan Jobe entered into eternity on Friday , May 23, 2025 after an extended illness
Brenda was born November 23, 1952 in Jones County, MS to Henry Lee and Effie Mae Williams Pruitt. Life was not always easy but she rose to the challenge with grit, determination, and complete faith in God.
She worked for 30 years as a welder at Ingalls Shipbuilding before retiring. Brenda chose hard work over a handout. She was a giver, giving selflessly to her family and church. She was humble and soft spoken unless you said something about her family or pastor and then, well, she was a force to be reckoned with. Her life was a testimony of one, lived well. Brenda’s seat is now vacant and her body free from pain. I can almost hear the words, Well Done, thy good and faithful servant. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Effie LaDonna Tarnovska.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Michelle Jobe-Evans (Jimmy): granddaughter, Ariel Victoria Rynkowski, siblings, Cynthia Lynn Owen (Rev. Kerry Owen), Charlotte Marie Dickson (Don), Da Wanda Donnelly, David Dewayne Pruitt (Rozella), Angela Arender (Jason), and Christopher Sean Asproudis ; Turning Point Church Family and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be at Turning Point UPC in Gautier on Wednesday May 28, 2025 at noon with visitation one hour prior. Interment to conclude at Serene Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Hudson, Samuel Forehand “Mutt”, Christopher Jobe, Jason Arender, James Paul Williams and Oscar Daniel Sumrall.
She loved colors especially purple it was her request that black not be worn to the funeral but bright happy colors. It is a day to rejoice.
