Caden Ella Shows, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at the age of 22. She was born in Laurel, MS on January 2, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her “Pa Pa” , Mr. Lewis R. Long and her paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Judy Williamson; paternal great-grandparents Earl & Betty Kempton and Clabron & Lottie Shows.
She is survived by her mother, Jan Windham (Stephen); her father, Carby Shows (Ashley); siblings, Jett Windham, Caleb Shows, Sophia Shows, Christian Shows and Charli-Kate Shows; her paternal grandparents, William and Pamela Edwards; her paternal grandfather, David R. Shows and grandmother, Ella Rae Long and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
Caden graduated from West Jones High School in 2019. Following High school she attended Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. In 2021, she moved to Pascagoula MS to fulfill her dream of becoming a firefighter. On May 25, 2023, she graduated from the Fire Academy in Jackson MS. She served as a fire fighter with the Moss Point Fire Department. She loved her job and fellow fire fighters greatly.
Caden was a beautiful child of God and had a heart as big as the sun. She had the unique ability to make each person in her life feel special. She will be missed greatly. Fly with the angels our sweet Caden! We will never look at another sunset without remembering you!
Local visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 3:00-6:00pm at O'Bryant - O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Sharon Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. Funeral Service will follow at 2:pm. Graveside Service will conclude at Sharon Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers and participants in the Last Call Ceremony, will be her fellow firefighters that knew and loved her.
