Carol Davis of Gautier, Ms passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of “Almost 86” on January 14, 2023.

Carol was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Hazel Mae and Ira Mailian Marker. She moved to Palatka, Florida to live on her grandmother’s farm and from there traveled with her parents through 49 states following pipeline construction.

Carol was an amazing woman loaded with talent. Her hardworking years were filled with anything from being a wife and loving mother to store management, head cook on Off Shore jack up boats to an Awarded Pipe Brazer/Fitter at Avondale Shipbuilding where she then retired.

After retirement she and her husband of 40yrs, took to the road seeing as much as possible of the United States and made many great friends in their Air Stream campgrounds. Carol loved cooking, crochet, knitting, sewing and traveling. Family time was big in her heart.

Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband Cornelius L. (C.L.) Davis, mother and father, sister, Billee Badorek and grandson, Corey Vaughan.

She is survived by siblings: Dixie (Jeff) Mattison, Sue (Bobby) Hall and brother-in-law Lynn Badorek. children: Lorretta (Clark) Vaughan, Rae Lynn (Fred) Stone, Teresa Fitzgerald and Lisa Moore, step-children: Claudia L. (Johnny) Linton, Charlotte Y. Middleton and Cornelius L. “Neely” (Ellie) Davis, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Gautier O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com
