Carolyn Hurst Moulder

Carolyn LaVerne Hurst Moulder, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the age of 76.

Carolyn was born August 5, 1945 in Sylacauga, AL to Arthur and LaVerne Hurst. She married Jerry Moulder, the “Old Crab”, on November 16, 1963.  Together   they raised three children; Mark, Toni, and Leah. She was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church in Pascagoula, working in various ministries over the years. Being musically inclined, and inspired by the Gaither’s, she used her voice to worship her Lord and Savior and was a blessing to the church choir. Her passion for the things of God was not limited to the confines of her church, she had a tremendous love for Israel and the Jewish people, lifting them up in prayer often.

  She had a great capacity to love, and in return she was greatly loved by those that met her. Carolyn had natural beauty and a smile to match, and could have easily been a model. But she chose to use her wit, charm, and humor to serve others, particularly her family. She enjoyed southern cooking, a job she did well and often. So many friends and memories were made around the table of Carolyn Moulder, she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Jerry Moulder in 2011.

She is survived by her children, Mark Moulder of Pascagoula, MS, Toni Deana Moulder Kraft and her husband, Steve of Moss Point, MS and Leah Moulder of Pascagoula, MS; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Riverside Baptist Church from 2-3 pm. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Tracy Martin officiating.   Interment will conclude at Machpelah Cemetery.
