Charles Franklin Caple passed away on Monday February 1, 2021 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Charles was born on December 6, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas to William and Carrie Mae Caple. He proudly served our country in the US Navy for 4 years and The US Air Force for 12 years. After working as an Air traffic controller in the Air Force; he worked as an estimator for Ingalls Shipbuilding and various other shipyards in the U.S. over the years, finally retiring from V.T. Halter Marine .
In earlier years he enjoyed flying his plane and viewing the world from a different perspective. Charles enjoyed gospel music, gardening, fishing, camping, enjoying a cup of coffee and fellowship any time of the day and traveling but his favorite pleasure came from his love of church. Charles was always matter of fact in his thoughts and had a distinct sense of humor, which was the source of much laughter. In his spare time Charles had begun writing his life story, we regret he was unable to finish this project before his greatest traveling adventure, the heavenly flight from here to his eternal home, with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Willard “Bill” Carney; siblings, Harold Caple, Jack Caple, Betty Starks, Sue McBroom, Katie Cooper, Carolyn Parrett, Dorothy Caple and Frances Stevenson.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pearlene Caple whom he lovingly called Sam, of Vancleave, MS; children, Cheryl Caple of Kansas City, Kansas, Ronald Caple of Parsons KS, Matthew Caple (Janet) of Clinton, MO, Janet Edmondson (Bob) of Grove, OK, Royce Johnson (Cathey) Elmore City, OK, Dana Hicks (Johnny) Vancleave, MS, and Deanna Fletcher of Brandon, MS; a brother, Robert Caple of Branson, MO; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his faithful companion, their yorkie, Heidi.
