Charles English Obituary

Charles E. English Sr., passed away at his home on Saturday August 15, 2020 at the age of 86.

Charles was born February, 18, 1934 to James and Emma English in Cottage Hill, Florida.  He lived most of his life in the Moss Point/ Pascagoula Area. He served in the United States Navy, he was a Captain for the Pascagoula Fire Department for 21 years, and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, bait shrimping, and the coastal waters and life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Quida Lee McKinley, Alice Murphy, Jimmie Mae Dismukes; and a step-daughter, Toni R. Gurley.

He is survived by his wife, Pat English of Moss Point; children, Debra Langley, Cindy Lawson, Patricia Breedlove, Charles English Jr. and Susie Campbell; step daughters, Tina Henne and Teri Winger; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.    

Military Honors will be rendered at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS, followed by visitation at 6:30-8:00 pm. Private burial will take place at Orange Grove Cemetery. The state rules and regulations concerning COVID -19 will be followed and face mask required.
