Charles "Chris" Christopher Parker

Charles Christopher (Chris) Parker, age 57, passed away at home on October 5, 2023 surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.

Chris was born on December 28, 1965 in Pascagoula, MS to Durwood C. and Ouida J. Parker. Chris graduated in 1984 from Pascagoula High school. He was employed many years in the grocery business starting with his family owned business, D&G Supermarket. In his later years he worked in construction.

Chris was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, children and family. He enjoyed anything that involved being on the water. He loved going to the islands, Horn, Petit Bois and Sand. He loved anything Sci-Fi related. He enjoyed studying God's Word, the Bible, and had confidence that Jehovah would one day bring about His promise of paradise earth.

He is preceded in death by his father, Durwood C. Parker; paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Parker; maternal grandparents, Lenord and Francis Hughes.

Chris is survived by his three children, Lindsey Brooke P. Ramirez (Marlowe) of Ocean Springs, Brittney P. Morgan (David Adam) of Pascagoula and Matthew Merrill of Pascagoula; five grandchildren, Charley, Sammy, Adeline, Ruby and Marlowe Jr. He is also survived by his mother, Ouida J. Parker of Pascagoula; two sisters, Melissa P. Harkey (Jonathan) of Ocean Springs, Roxanne P. Burroughs of Pascagoula and one brother, Durwood Dewayne Parker of Gautier. Chris's loving sister, Roxanne, was his primary caregiver at the end of his life. Chris has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved and cared for dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Senior Center, 1912 Live Oak Avenue, Pascagoula, MS from 12-2PM.
