Charlotte JoAnn Hamilton

Charlotte JoAnn Hamilton, age 91, of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born April 29, 1933 in Laurel, Mississippi as the second to the youngest of 7 children. JoAnn devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and caretaker.  She was passionate with painting and being an Artist.  Family gatherings, holidays, traveling, camping, cooking, and reading were things she enjoyed during her life. JoAnn was a member of Arlington Baptist Church in Pascagoula.

At a young age, she was saved and lived her life with strong faith and belief in her Lord and Savior. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, friendliness to everyone, and love she had for children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Leguin Hamilton; son, Daniel Leguin “Danny” Hamilton; three sisters and three brothers, Margaret Arrington, James Maxey, Betty Shields, Charles Maxey, Jimmy Ruth Main, and Gregory Maxey.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving and devoted son, Garland Ray Hamiton; loving church family, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, 2:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service in funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.  You may send condolences to his family on the Tribute Wall.
