Cheryle Hamilton Harbison

Cheryle Hamilton Harbison, age 67, of Moss Point passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.  She was born October 26, 1953 in Pascagoula and has been a lifelong resident of this area. Cheryle graduated in 1972 from Moss Point High School and was employed at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula for over 15 years in a number of management positions in the Business Office.    Cheryle retired because she was diagnosed with Pick’s Dementia.  Before her illness, she enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Cheryle was of the Assembly of God faith and enjoyed attending church and worshiping.  Cheryle married her loving and supportive husband on December 5, 1987 and he has cherished every day that he was given with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Johnnie Mae Hamilton; brother, Gordon Hamilton.

Cheryle is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Michael Glenn Harbison, Moss Point; two brothers, Roy Hamilton (Ann), Daphne, AL; David Hamilton (Jackie), Tillman Corner, AL; one sister, Anita Hamilton, Tillman Corner, AL; two nieces, Karen Fallon (Ray), Lucedale; Janet Hamilton, Daphne, AL; nephew, Justin Hamilton.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with her cousin, Rev. Wendell Stork, officiating.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the service in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.

For those unable to attend, you may watch a recording of her service or livestream on the funeral home’s Facebook page.  Due to COVID-19 concerns, facial masks will need to be worn and social distancing necessary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
