Clarence “Butch” Broun Jr.

CLARENCE HARLSTON “BUTCH” BROUN, JR., 73, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025.

Butch was born on March 6, 1951, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. In 1969, he graduated from Our Lady of Victories Catholic High School, and then attended the University of Mississippi. He later returned to Pascagoula, working first at Mississippi Chemical and then as a purchaser at Chevron Refinery, where he eventually retired in 2004. In his free time, he enjoyed taking drives in the car, watching the Game Show Network, supporting his Ole Miss Rebels, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Harlston Broun, Sr., and Elizabeth Zelenka Brady; his brother Timothy Broun; and his sisters Mary Elizabeth Broun and Jaye Broun Turner.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Donna BoulerBroun, of Pascagoula; his two children, Brian Broun (Meagan) of Pascagoula and Angela Broun of Pass Christian; and his five precious grandchildren, Myles, Aaron, Caroline, Abigail, and William Broun, all of Pascagoula. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly request donations be made in Butch’s name to Resurrection Catholic School.
