Colleen Elizabeth King

Colleen Elizabeth King, age 52, of Gautier, MS, passed away on Monday morning, April 21st, 2025, at her residence. She was born April 10, 1973 to Jimmy and Cindy King of Pascagoula, MS. Colleen graduated in 1991 from Pascagoula High School. While in high school, she was Pascagoula’s Distinguished Young Woman (Junior Miss) 1991 and Queen of Hi-Jinx Carnival Ball 1991. After high school graduation, Colleen attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1995. Colleen received a masters in Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi. At the time of her death, she was a senior Epic Application Analyst at the University of Virginia Medical Center, and a member of First Methodist Pascagoula.

She is preceded in death by her father, James “Jimmy” Allen King, Sr., and infant nephew Aaron Retherford Frye.

Colleen is survived by her mother, Cynthia “Cindy” Carroll King, Pascagoula; sister, Kelley King Frye (Craig), Gautier; brother James “Allen” King, Jr. (Michele); nephews, Walker “Reid” Frye, Dallas; Paul Saunders Frye (fiancé, Sara Grace Parker), Long Beach; James Allen “Jak” King, III, Ocean Springs; niece, Anna “Caroline” King, Washington, DC; special friends Scott and Christi Taylor, Ocean Springs; honorary nephews Christian and Jackson Taylor; and other relatives and friends, and lastly her precious fur baby, Kingston.

There will be a graveside service Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:00pm at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier, MS.
