Cynthia Griffin

Cynthia Griffin passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 in Pascagoula, MS at the age of 62.

Cynthia was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi on September 29, 1960 to Mr. and Mrs. Calvin J. Patton Jr (Alma). Cynthia served honorably in the United States Air Force and was currently employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding with 37 years of service. Throughout her life she was known as a person with outstanding work ethics and a loyal dedicated wife, mother, grandmother.  She was an incredible, intelligent, beautiful person on the inside and outside. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents  and is survived by her husband of 34 years, James “Leo” Griffin of Pascagoula, MS; a daughter, Leah Patton of Moss Point, MS; one grandson, James “Beanpole” Patton (Nevaeh); stepchildren, Ashley Howard of Jackson, MS, Jermaine Johnson (Brittney) of Grand Bay, AL and  Dante’ Lett of Moss Point, MS; three sisters, Pamela Brown of Kennedale, TX, Sonia Burke of Pascagoula, MS, and Selina Sipp (Abron) of Moss Point, MS; two brothers, Kelvin Patton (Barbara) of Pascagoula, MS and Frank Patton of Moss Point; devoted uncle, Clayton Coleman (Louise); eleven, step-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am Saturday, September 16, 2023 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Pascagoula, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Father Emmanuel as the Celebrant.
