David "Gabby" Glazier Obituary

David “Gabby” Glazier, age 75, of Moss Point passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his home from Mesothelioma Lung Cancer. He was born May 20, 1946 in Biloxi, MS and has been a life long resident of Gulf Coast.  He graduated in 1964 from Biloxi High School and served six years in the United States Marine Corp.  After his service he started working for Ingalls Shipbuilding and retired after 41 years of employment.   Gabby was an active member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave. Gabby enjoyed hot rods, eating, and his family!  There was nothing he loved better than going on “Treasure Hunting” Trips with his wife Sherry, and looking for old cars and trucks. He loved to jump into the truck and drive wherever they ended up! Gabby loved hanging out and talking about old cars with his Rodder buddies; cutting up with his best friend and his brother, Walter and Dale Peffers; spending time with his children and grandchildren. Gabby lived to Eat! His favorite place was Sicily’s Buffet in D’Iberville which he frequented often. He loved his church and especially the children who he and his wife were blessed to teach. He would tote and lead them across the street to the “Big Church”.  Gabby ran everywhere he went always happy and full of energy. He was humble and a willing servant to anyone he could help. Gabby was called “A Good Man” by everyone who knew him. He was loved!

He is preceded in death by his parents, George J. Glazier and Thelma Everett Glazier; brother, Jeff Glazier.  Gabby is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sheryl “Sherry” Glazier; three daughter and two sons, Trina Brownlow, Grand Bay, Al; Kelly Weaver, Long Beach, MS; Cynthia Gibson (Stan), Moss Point; Butch Sanders (Emily), Panama City Beach, FL and Scott Sanders, Destin, FL; three brothers and two sisters, George Glazier (Caroline), Biloxi; Ronnie Glazier (Becky), Mount Pleasant, SC; Mike Glazier (Mary), Ocean Springs; Jackie Landry, Pensacola; Robin Boney, Biloxi; 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who he adored; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and loving church family.
