Delores "Dee" Phillips Obituary

Delores LeMaitre Phillips passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021 in Irvington, AL.

Ms Dee as she was so often called, was born in Jackson County, MS to Joseph and Annie Catherine LeMaitre on August 8, 1941. She was a graduate of Pascagoula High School. She was a member of Ridglea Heights Baptist Church and once served as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula.  She was a real estate broker for Bright Homes and Vickers Homes.  Dee is probably best known for her work as staff secretary in Senators, Trent Lott and Roger Wicker’s office.  To many veterans she was their voice and stood in the gap when they were in need. This incredible kind , and community minded  lady will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Perkins. She is survived by two sons, Lowell Edward Phillips Jr. and Charles “Chad” Clinton Phillips and his wife Jenny and a granddaughter, Gracie Phillips.

There will be no public service held for Ms Dee Phillips, at this time. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com or in honor of her memory donations can be made to Our Daily Bread in Pascagoula, MS, or Mississippi College in Clinton, MS..
