Diane Duke

Diane Brooks Duke passed away Sunday January 5, 2020 after a courageous fight with cancer.

Diane was born December 4, 1954 in Westerly, RI. She met and married John Duke on Feb 12, 1974. Together they raised 4 children, Johnny, Lisa Marie, Elvis, and Jerry.  They were more than a married couple. Johnny and Diane were friends. Life brought challenges in their 48 years but together they faced these challenges valiantly. Their greatest challenge would be their last together. Johnny by her side every step of the way, Diane pulled between her love for her family and a distance place free from pain.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Diane is survived  by her husband Johnny Duke of Lucedale, MS; children Johnny Chase Cochran, Lisa Marie Duke, Elvis Aaron Duke and Jerry Allen Duke; 15 grandchildren, Harry (Abby) Bexley II ,Dora Warden, Sam Warden, Samantha Bexley,  Katherine Whitten,   Arielle Legnon, Kristen Darden, Haley Hudson Tyler Duke, Hunter Duke, Austin Duke,   Trinity Duke, Destiny Duke and Daisy Duke; great grandchildren, Mistyria Bozeman, Zinnie Hudson, Broox Hudson, and Sara Bexley; four sisters, Judy Laperie, Patty Caddick, Carol Verzillo and Barbara Read and numerous nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends.

At her request there will be no public services.  Rest in Peace Diane Duke!
