Donald Eugene Heiser Sr

Donald Eugene Heiser Sr , age 85,passed away Monday , February 8, 2021 in Biloxi, MS.

Dutch as he was known, was born on February 3, 1936 in Pennsylvania to John and Esther Heiser. He served proudly in the United States Navy retiring in 1975 as a CPO- E/7 . He met and married Jean Jones on July 28, 1973 in Charleston, SC., after retirement they moved to Gautier, MS. After working for Ingalls Shipbuilding for 20 years he decided it was again time to retire.  He was a devoted member, usher and greeter for Spanish Trail Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching golf and football and was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan until the end.  Dutch also loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James, Red, Bruce, Carl, Darlene and Sue.

He is survived by his wife Jean Heiser of Gautier, MS; children, Donald Heiser Jr.and his wife, Debra, Candance “Candy” Heiser, Tammy Carter (Daniel) of Ocean Springs, MS and Jimmy Smith II (Debra) of Pascagoula, MS.; stepchildren, Donna Webster and her husband Lewis and Mark Webster; a sister, June “Sal” Wilt of Pennsylvania. 7grandchildren, Hailey Carter, Dawson Carter, Matthew Carter, Addie May Smith, Shyann and Taylor Webster, Jesse Diaz and  wife Christina, Steven Weber and his wife Tricia and,  3 great-grand children, Talulah Ruth Horne, Maryn Diaz and Luna Weber.

Funeral Service will be Friday, February 12, at 12 noon at Spanish Trail Baptist Church in Gautier, MS with visitation one hour prior to service.  Private interment with military honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
