Donald Robert Mullikin

Donald Robert Mullikin, US Air Force, ret. age 89, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born November 23, 1933 in Wirt, New York as the 3rd child of 10.  Donald retired in 1978 as Senior Master Sergeant after 26 years of service in the United States Air Force.  He was employed with United States Postal Service for 15 years. Donald was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Vancleave. He enjoyed softball, bowling, Red Skins Football, and New York Yankees Baseball.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Frank Mullikin and Elizabeth Katherine Hansler Mullikin; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Mullikin.

Donald is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lois Richard Mullikin Vancleave; three sons and two daughters, Louis Mullikin (Kim), California; Lisa Peirce (Frank), Georgia; Daniel Mullikin (Michelle), Vancleave; Damon Mullikin, Vancleave; LeAnn Carver (Charles), Vancleave; sister, Dolores Markle, New Jersey; brothers, Chaunce Mullikin (Judy), New Jersey; David Mullikin, New Jersey and Dwayne Mullikin, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, 10:00-12:00pm at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Vancleave. Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon followed by burial at the church’s cemetery.   Full Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery and a reception to follow in the fellowship hall celebrating his life.   Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
