Dorothy J Carson

Dorothy Jean Carson passed away at her home on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Dorothy was born on January 27, 1953 in Pascagoula, MS to Clyde and Betty Jean Hayes. She met and married Floyd Carson and for the past 54 years their relationship strengthened. Together they had two children, Melissa and Shain. She was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, MS. she enjoyed fishing watching football and a huge San Fransisco Forty Niner fan. She collected Precious Moments. Her love was unconditional and if the need arose, she could be feisty as well. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Lynn Carson; a brother, Bobby Hayes and a sister Carolyn King. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Carson; her son and body guard, Shain Carson and his wife Tangela; a sister Patricia Gallagher and her husband Robert; four grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, Nicholas and Christopher; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her church family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church in Ocean Springs from 12- 2 PM with funeral service to follow at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or to Grace Baptist Church in her memory.
