Dorothy B Collins

Dorothy “Dot” B. Collins, age 83, of Pascagoula, MS was surrounded by her loved ones when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 20, 2023. She was born 21st of July 1939, to the late Hollie and Audrey Bang. She grew up and lived all of her life in Pascagoula, MS. Dot worked for Brumfield’s Department Store, Corning Glass, and Citizens Nations Bank. Dot was very involved in Eastlawn Baptist Church and helped with the finances. She helped when all of her 3 grandchildren were born and loved them very much. Dot loved to stay busy making wreaths and sewing all kinds of items to give to her family and friends.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents, Hollie and Audrey Bang; and two brothers, Jerry Bang and Tommy Bang.

Dot is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ronald Gene “Rip” Collins Sr.; son, Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Collins Jr of Daphne, AL; a sister, Dianne Wilson of Grand Bay, AL; step daughter, Norma Hines Collins and step son, Danny Collins both of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Collins of Daphne, AL Matthew Collins of Daphne, AL and Rachel Collins of Grand Bay, AL.

Visitation is be at O’Bryant – O’Keefe, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Eastlawn Baptist Church, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00am. Internment will conclude at Jackson County Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Joshua Collins, Matthew Collins, Frank Corder, Danny Smith, Shad Wilson, and Ken Turner.
