Edward Ryan Obituary

Edward J. Ryan previously of Southern Shores, NC passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the age of 73 in Gautier, MS.

He was born June 16, 1950 in Astoria, NY. He attended college in NY and earned his BA in Art, and later earned an AS in Computer Science. He started working for Social Security (SSA) in 1974 and spent his 37-year career with them until he retired in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his brother William M. Ryan III (Uncle Bill), and his sister Elizabeth Schott (Aunt Betty). He is survived by one daughter, Mary Ryan, son-in-law, Dan Coda; one grandson, Oliver Ryan-Coda; one dog, Nolan Ryan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Internment took place at St. Charles Cemetery in Long Island, NY. He’s now in his “condo in the sky” next to Aunt Betty.
