Edward Clifford " E. C." Brooks

Edward Clifford “E.C.” Brooks, age 82, of Collins, Mississippi and formerly of Moss Point passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, 2025.   He was born May 10,1943 in Kosciusko, Mississippi.   E. C. graduated from Pascagoula High School. He was a former welder for Hercules in Hattiesburg and retired after 20 years as welder for Ingall Shipbuilding in 2005.  Mr. Brooks was of the Baptist faith.

He enjoyed traveling, BBQs, and fishing at his camp in North Jackson County, MS.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Lee Brooks; parents, Esley and Myrtle Imagene Brooks; son, Gary Brooks; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Boling; former wife, Linda Ann Blackburn.

E.C. is survived by his daughter, Karen Brooks (James Overstreet) Collins, MS; two sons, Ronnie Brooks (Pam), Seminary, MS; David Brooks (Melinda), Collins, MS; step-daughter, Donna Nolan, Escatawpa; sister, Annette Brooks Boling.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, 9:30-10:30 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.  Funeral Procession with police escort will leave the funeral home at 10:30am for Graveside Service to begin at 11:00am at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa with Rev. Tim Hopkins officiating.
