Eileen Bollman passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 73.
Eileen was born in Murphysboro, Ill on October 10, 1950, to Clarence and Adeline Bierman. She met and married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Terry Bollman, and 53 years later he was still the one. Being a Navy Wife, packing up and moving became almost second nature. Over the course of 22 years their family moved 13 times. She made a home for their two children, Brett and Kelly, and made time to help others, working as the administrator and teacher for the Navy Base nursery during one tour and as an active Navy Wives Club member providing support to local communities as well at the Navy bases during all tours. The family moved a final time in 1988 to Pascagoula where she was an active bridge player, cook, gardener, and artist. Eileen made everyone feel special by creating personalized homemade birthday cards and adding her personal touch to every holiday or occasion. Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Her strong character shone even brighter in the last 19 years as she bravely, fearlessly, and without complaint battled cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Terry Bollman of Pascagoula, MS; children, Brett Bollman (Kimberly) of Vancleave, MS and Kelly Clark (Brian) of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Imogene Bierman McDonough (Larry) of Chester, Ill; sister-in-law, Marilyn Thompson of MO. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Savannah Smith (Allen), Alaina Sheffield (Noah), Parker Bollman, Preston Clark, Ashton Hamby (Mallory), Samantha Bresnahan (Jeremiah) and Chelsea Logsdon (Dustin); seven great-grandchildren, Waylon Smith, Annistyn Smith, Killian Barker, Myles Bresnahan, Maclan Bresnahan, Owen Logsdon and Ensley Logsdon; a nephews, Shannon McDonough and Scott Thompson; a niece, Amie Merz and many other cousins, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 12:30pm. Inurnment will conclude at Biloxi National Cemetery.
