Elizabeth Azeline McLain Waters

Elizabeth Azeline McLain Waters, age 98 and formerly of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in Tallahassee, Florida. She was born June 18, 1924 in Vancleave, MS and was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Azeline was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, and East Hill Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL. Azeline faithfully served our Lord with quiet kindness and was an inspiration to many. Her ancestors are eligible for membership in Daughters/Sons of the American Revolution under Fleet Cooper, NC.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay McLain and Grace Josephine Cooper McLain; her brothers, William Bryant, Austin, Andrew McLain; her husband, Marvin Henry Waters; her son, Gerald Bryant, Great-grandson, Gabriel Aaron Presnell-Hall .

Azeline is survived by her daughter and two sons, Marvin H. Waters, Jr. (Marilyn), Tallahassee, Fl; Beth Waters Presnell (Rod), Tallahassee, FL; Dwain Waters, (Ann), Navarre, FL; Grandchildren are Michael Henry Waters, Matthew Brian Waters; Christopher Roderick Presnell; Amy Presnell Johnson (Davis II); Elizabeth “Libby” Presnell; Crystal Waters. Great-grandchildren are Jason Christopher Presnell, Lauren Elizabeth Presnell, Jacob Joseph Presnell, Davis Johnson III, Mclain Johnson, Taylor Grace Johnson, Cole Waters-Johnson, and Gabriel Aaron (Presnell) Hall.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2023, 1:00-2:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm followed by committal service at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula. ​Thank you to special caregivers and friends in Villa 6 of The Villas of Killearn Lakes in Tallahassee, who returned love and kindness to Azeline, and got hugs from her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Salvation Army or a charity of choice.  You may send condolences to her family or share a memory on the Tribute Wall.
