Frank Nickels

Frank Nickels, age 81, of Gautier passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in Pascagoula, Ms.  He was born April 15, 1944 in Salem, Indiana to Elmer and Ruth Nickels.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era with dedication, courage, and honor.  After his serve, he started working at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula as a welder and retired after 30 years of employment.

Frank found great joy working on these hot rods with great passion for the skill, patience, and love for all the thing mechanical. He had a special place in his heart for his classic 1957 Chevy.

He was a great father and grandfather that will be remembered for his hard-working ethics and love for his country and family.

Mr. Nickels is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Ann; brother, Larry.  He is survived by his devoted son, John; two grandchildren he adored, Chloe and Zachary; other family members and friends.
