Gina Dubuisson Sharpton, 67, went home to be with the Lord on September 8,2024, at home in Gautier, Ms.
She was born on March 3,1957, to Gene Herrin Dubuisson and Lydia Grace Temple. Gina was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
A true parrot head, she lived her life to the fullest- dancing her way through life. She was always the life of the party and the bright light through darkness. She never met a stranger; greeting everyone with a warm hug and smile. A lover of animals. especially dogs; she was greeted in heaven by her four legged companions.
As a true Catholic, Gina believed God is higher than the mountains, deeper that the ocean- a philosophy she lived by. Nothing brought her more comfort to be closer to God than time with those she loved, and being on the beach, feeling the sand between her toes.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Riser (Adrian Burge) of Gautier and James Michael Riser of Pascagoula; Her grandchildren Sarah Myers (George) of Tallahassee, Fl; Ayden Burge and Elara Riser-Burge of Gautier; and her sister Michele Gibbs of Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gene Herrin Dubuisson and Lydia Grace Temple; and her husband Chuck Sharpton.
The family requests donations in Gina's memory be sent to the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
A celebration of life gathering for all family, friends, and community members will be held on September 20, 2024, 2-5 pm at Point Park in Pascagoula, Ms.
To quote her favorite songs by Jimmy Buffet "Bubbles Up"- "Just know you are loved. There is light up above, and the joy is always enough."
