Gladys Johnson Rigby

Gladys Pauline Johnson Rigby passed away at the age of 91 on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Gladys was born on July 5, 1932 in Jackson County to Charles and Marguerite Johnson. She married the love of her life, Bo Rigby, in 1950 and together they raised eight sons.  She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband James “Bo” Rigby Sr; a son, Bill Rigby; siblings, Frank Johnson, Charles Johnson and Teresa Johnson.

She is survived by seven sons, Jim Rigby Jr and wife Rhonda of Pascagoula, MS, Charles Rigby and his wife Rose of Baton Rouge, LA, Joel Rigby of Pascagoula, Tom Rigby and wife Linda of Decatur, AL, Glenn Rigby and wife, Benita of Pascagoula, MS, Scott Rigby and wife, Lori of Sunriver, Oregon, and Richard Rigby and wife Kara of Panama City, FL; a sister, June Wood and husband Jackie of Pascagoula, MS; 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church from 10:00am-11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow as 11:00am with Father Tony Arguellas as Celebrant. Interment will conclude at Greenwood Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
