Hannon Keith Dunnam

Hannon Keith Dunnam passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, in Hattiesburg, MS.

Keith was born on July 13, 1951, in Neely, MS, to Everett and Bernice Dunnam.  He graduated from Leakesville High School in 1971 and married Olly M. Egers on January 29, 1975.  They celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Keith retired as a lieutenant with 20 years of service from South Mississippi Correctional Institution.  He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Leakesville, MS, as well as a proud Life Member and Benefactor of the National Rifle Association of America.  Keith enjoyed nature and country living.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaery Edward and Jimmy Dale Dunnam, and a close cousin, Larry Freeman.

He is survived by his wife Olly M. Dunnam of Neely, MS; sister-in-law, Georgia A. Dunnam of Pascagoula, MS; nieces, Greta A. Henderson and husband John of Mansfield, TX, Gina E. Denckhoff and husband Robert of Hilton Head Island, SC and Ginger E. Dunnam-Smith and husband Johnny of Agricola, MS. 

Uncle Keith also leaves to cherish his memory five great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11 AM Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Unity Baptist Church in Leakesville, MS, Old Hwy 24. The funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Michael Perry, First Baptist Church Moss Point, MS officiating. Interment in the church cemetery will conclude the funeral.
