Harlo “Andy” Wendell Anderson, 93, of Gautier, MS passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Ocean Springs, MS.
Mr. Andy was born May 21, 1928, in Sheridan, Illinois to Newman Anderson and Evelyn Vincent Anderson. Andy served his county in the Air Force for one year before being medically discharged. He was the co-owner of Central Appliance in Pascagoula. He enjoyed spending time and traveling with the love of his life, JoAnne Anderson. They had a true passion for square and round dancing. They were members across the coast of many clubs including, Wagon Wheels of Baton Rouge, Slidell Swingers, Mobile Squares and Tick Tock Rounder’s to name a few. He will be missed greatly.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Anderson; brothers, Sidney Anderson, Arvid “Ray” Anderson, Donny Anderson, Dean Anderson; sister Marlyn Tunget, Betty Elko; and grandson, John Goodin.
He is survived by his son, David Allan Anderson (Donna) of Vancleave, MS; two daughters, Peggy Anderson Nichols (Ted) of Escatawpa, MS, and Cheri Anderson Goodin of Alabama; sister, Joan LaPradd; grandchildren, David William Anderson (Anne), Dustin Allan Anderson (Katherine), Destiny Rae Anderson Smith (Perry), Lisa Nichols Lamb (Thomas), Stephanie Nichols Butler (Mark), Jennifer Nichols Belcher (Eric), Christopher Lee Nichols, and Jacob Goodin; many great-grandchildren and a host of extended family, friends, and close companion June Commagere.
A special thanks to Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital, 2nd floor and ICU, Singing River Rehabilitation Center Gulfport facility 4th floor, the nurses and staff of S.A.A.D Hospice, and finally to his beloved caretaker and friend, Ms. Bea at the Catherine House in Ocean Springs.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2022, at O’Bryant- O’Keefe Funeral Home Pascagoula from 10-11am. Funeral Service will begin at 11am with internment concluding at Serene Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
