Harold McMillan Obituary

Harold G. McMillan passed away at his home in Vancleave on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the age of 86.

Harold was born on September 17, 1934 in Vancleave, MS to Alma and Mary McMillan. He met and married Linda Kay Simpson and together they had one son, Grant. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter-Day Saints. He served his country in the United States Navy serving in Korea and Vietnam before retiring in 1971. After retiring from the US Navy, he would continue supporting his country by working and retiring from Ingalls Shipbuilding.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay McMillan; siblings, Nola Mohr, Clara Burroughs, Robert McMillan, Ben McMillan, Thomas McMillan, Ralph McMillan and James McMillan.

He is survived by his son, Grant McMillan and his wife, Karen; grandson, Tyler Chase McMillan; sister, Ruth Burleson

Visitation will be Sept. 2, 2021, 10:00-11:00am, at Reorganized Church of Latter-Day Saints in Vancleave. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am at the church following by burial with Full Military Honors at the Church’s cemetery.  You may send condolences to his family or share a memory on the Tribute Wall.
