Imogene Goodgame Obituary

Imogene “Teenie” Ross Goodgame, age 86, of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning June 10, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with dementia.

Teenie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born and raised in Gautier, Mississippi, she grew up alongside “The Cousins” and many lifelong friends who remained dear to her throughout her life. She graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1957. After graduation, she attendedcosmetology school and later worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding until marrying the love of her life, Robert E. “Bob” Goodgame, in 1963.

Early in their marriage, Bob and Teenie moved to Vancleave, Mississippi, where, they built their dream home on the lake and shared 48 wonderful years together. In 1977, they opened Goodgame’s Printing and worked side by side until Teenie retired in 1995 to spend more time with family and friends.

Teenie enjoyed bowling, traveling, shopping—especially for shoes—and spending afternoons with friends, often ending the day dropping coins into the video poker machines. Above all else, her daughters, Carla and Cheryl, were the light of her life. She never missed an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen how fortunate she was to have such wonderful girls.

Teenie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert Edward “Bob” Goodgame; her parents, Odom Carl Ross and Pansy Martin Ross;and her sister, Barbara Ann “Sue” Ross.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Carla (Cleve) Bond of Pascagoula and Cheryl (Frank) Balcer of Pascagoula; her cherished grandchildren, Conner (Bernadette) Burton, Justin Wells, Ann Marie (Jacob) Ferrer, Reid Bond, Tyus Bond, Kristen (Alex) Goff, Holly (Jason) Pfiffner, Carly (Will) Krizak, and Sidney (Meagan) Balcer; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jackson, Walker,Charlotte, and Elizabeth Ann.

Teenie shared a special bond with “The Cousins” and her lifelong friends Judy Roberts, Peggy Greene, Gaynel Atkinson, and Marsha Bond. Carla and Cheryl are eternally grateful for the love, friendship, support, and care these dear friends provided to their mother throughout her life.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the employees and staff of Lighthouse Memory Care and Notre Dame Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to their mother.
