Jacob Daniel Northrop
Infant son of Susannah Carlyle Cox Northrop and Jacob Reid Northrop, and twin brother of Charlotte Carlyle Northrop, was born into heaven on January 2, 2025 at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
Named after his father and paternal grandfather, Baby JD was surrounded by love from the very beginning.
JD is lovingly survived by his parents, Susannah and Jacob Northrop, and his twin sister, Carlyle Northrop, all of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He is also survived by his grandparents, Charlotte and Holland Cox of Starkville, Mississippi, and Priscilla and Jack Northrop of Moss Point, Mississippi; his great-grandmother, Vicki Broadus of Pascagoula, Mississippi; his uncles, Landan Ryan Northrop, Samuel Chapman Cox, John Charlton Cox, and Beau Holland Cox; and his aunt, Hannah Acheè Northrop.
JD was welcomed into heaven by his maternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Richard Cox and Allene and Edward Springer, as well as his paternal great-grandparents, Ruth and Daniel F. Northrop, Sr., and Donald Broadus.
JD is also cherished and will be deeply missed by a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be JD’s uncles: Landan Northrop, Sam Cox, Charlie Cox, and Beau Cox.
A private funeral service for family will be held at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point, Mississippi on Thursday, January 8th.
